Red Leaf has many dedicated families in small to medium sized communities in four provinces of Canada: Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
Families open their homes to a teenager from one of several countries in Europe, South America, Mexico or Asia, and for 2 to 4 weeks, or even as long as 10 months, have the opportunity to share Canadian family life with the student. Limited opportunities also exist to host students from Quebec who study English in Ontario for 5 weeks in the summer. If you have a teenager, hosting an international student through Red Leaf could earn your child credit toward a Red Leaf Program abroad.
One of Red Leaf’s goals is to provide opportunities not only for visiting international students but to our wonderful host families. There are endless opportunities gained by hosting. One of the most life-changing aspects in a young person’s life is making life-long friendships. There is nothing more special to Red Leaf than the bonds created by these friendships.

I live alone in Mississauga, Ontario in a large 4 bedroom house. The location is close to University of Toronto (at Mississauga), Square One Shopping Mall, local transit and GO Transit (takes you directly to downtown Toronto). I’d like to host a couple of students from Asia for a long term (i.e. entire school year).

Hi there,
Our family is very interested in hosting an international student again. We hosted a high school student from Korea for 10 months a number of years ago and we really enjoyed the experience. We live in Calgary, who should we contact regarding hosting again?
Thanks for your time!
Michelle
