Nestled in the heart of Fraser Valley is the ‘raspberry capital of Canada’ – Abbotsford. Mt. Baker towers over the picturesque community by more than 8,000 feet. The 123,864 residents are only a short 50 minute drive away from downtown Vancouver. There is so much to do in Abbotsford from skiing to white water rafting to golfing on world-renown courses.

Abbotsford offers a unique blend of urban amenities and rural comfort. The Abbotsford Discovery Trail is a paved 35.5 km gem that spans the community and is open year-round. The Reach Gallery Museum is known for exhibiting local Abbotsford talent. The community is excited to open a brand-new Entertainment and Sport Centre this spring. It will provide world-class entertainment from concert acts and stage productions to professional hockey.

Marilyn Henderson has been Red Leaf’s Coordinator in Abbotsford for over 10 years. She has arranged hosting hundreds of students from France, Spain, Japan, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Germany and Korea while also assisting Red Leaf to develop more programs in British Columbia and working on our curriculum.
